Special SCBC on January 28, 2023

A special South Carolina Breakfast Club will be held Saturday afternoon, January 28th, at the Hampton County Airport (3J0) from 11:00 to 13:00.

We will be celebrating the life and times of one of the oldest members of the South Carolina Breakfast Club, Charles Davis.

Charles’ father hosted the SCBC in the 1950s at their family airport, Davis Field, in Estill, SC – just southwest of 3J0.

These SCBC events were famous for the wonderful meals, the artesian swimming pool, the skating rink, and the crowds of pilots who would descend upon the little field to enjoy the friendship and food so generously offered by the Davis Family.

As would be fitting for an SCBC at Davis Field, there will be a traditional BBQ buffet at a cost of $15 per plate.

We hope you will mark this date and plan to attend to honor one of our most faithful members.

January 28th, 2023, 11:00 to 13:00. Hampton County Airport (3J0).

NEW! Video Archive Section

A Video Archive Section has been added to the site! The first of what we hope to be several videos from “back in the day” has been posted. The video was found among several household items left in the estate of Gerald Ballard and is of the SCBC held in Cheraw back in August, 1987. Just click on ‘Video Archive’ at the top menu.
