When the SCBC was established in 1938, our Founder, Thomas Summers, was making his treks to airports with his daughter, Sylvia, early on Sunday mornings so that they could return in time to go to church.
From time to time, I have been asked if we could move our meeting day to Saturday instead of Sunday to accommodate those of our membership who want to attend church.
This question was asked of me again recently so we are going to put it to you, our Members, for your feedback.
Some folks and airports would like to move the day and others may want to leave it as is. This specific time of year is when to consider a possible change because our Secretary, Wendy Griffin, is preparing to set next year’s schedule.
We are asking you for your opinion. Wendy will be polling airport personnel.
It may be that some will want to leave the days as they are and others may want to change. If this is the case we will do our best to accommodate, but we need your input!
